To strengthen the company’s team in Germany, we are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking professional with a true passion for fresh produce: a Head of Procurement Fruit & Vegetable (m/f/d) who not only manages processes but also inspires people and contributes to innovation.
Aufgaben:
- Strategy & execution: You will develop and implement a sourcing strategy for fruit and vegetables in Germany, ensuring quality, availability, and of course, competitive pricing
- Supplier relationships: You’ll maintain and grow relationships with international suppliers to secure long-term partnerships and favorable conditions
- Sustainability & transparency: Working closely with CSR and Quality teams, you’ll ensure that sourcing practices are fair, ethical, and sustainable
- Data-driven decisions: You’ll use market analysis and pricing data to steer procurement strategy and gain competitive advantage
- Team leadership: You will lead and develop a team of six experienced procurement professionals, creating a motivating and high-performance culture – both remotely and during your regular on-site presence
- Cross-functional collaboration: You will work closely with product development, logistics, and sales to bring new ideas and assortments to life
Profil:
- Several years of experience in the procurement of fruit and vegetables
- Proven leadership experience and the ability to build, inspire and develop teams
- Solid knowledge of international supply chains, including import/export and seasonal logistics
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with a good sense for market trends and opportunities
- Fluency in German and English (additional languages such as Spanish or Portuguese are a plus)
- A hands-on attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, and a collaborative mindset
